Dubai gave applicants empty calendars from April to June 2026. Every Schengen visa in Dubai gets an appointment, and which brand you book with decides the rest. Article 9(2) of the Schengen Visa Code sets that two-week norm for the appointment itself. A UAE applicant asked on 8 June 2026 how long a waitlist runs. The thread answered nothing. Neither can we. That is a data gap, not a secret. Article 9(3) is the one no-slot workaround in law. In justified cases of urgency, the consulate may let you lodge without an appointment. The Code defines neither "urgency" nor an appeal if refused. You ask the consulate, not the centre. AED 146.74 is the official centre charge on a German file at Abu Dhabi, checked 20 July 2026. AED 2,000 is what one Dubai agency published for a Spain package, plus doorstep fee and 5% VAT, in the same snapshot. Only one is capped by law. Visa Code Article 17(4) caps an outsourced centre's service fee at half the visa fee — half of the current EUR 90 short-stay fee. It binds VFS, BLS and TLScontact. It does not bind a travel agent, who sells a package, not a consular service. Residents are blunt: *"I don't want to pay big bucks to travel agents"* (r/SchengenVisa, 2 June 2026). A paid service can watch the calendar. So can a booking bot. Neither moves a decision. Nor does a prime-time appointment. TLScontact says so itself: its add-ons do "not entitle you to a successful visa application" (20 July 2026). One refusal shows the cost. A Sweden applicant was refused, then lost the appeal. The mission said the itinerary "looked template like". The applicant had used ChatGPT to format it (r/SchengenVisa, 10 May 2026). Consulates now penalise a recognisably AI-generated itinerary or cover letter. Write your own. Read "guaranteed approval" or cash upfront as a scam marker. ## How we check slot claims, and what this page will not promise No Schengen visa in Dubai and no appointment can be guaranteed, least of all by us. How this was checked. One source was opened live: the Schengen Visa Code, Regulation (EC) No 810/2009, version of 2 February 2020, read on 21 July 2026. Articles 9(2), 9(3) and 17(4) are quoted from it. We tried two provider portals on 21 July 2026 — uae.blsspainvisa.com and visa.vfsglobal.com/are/en/deu/ — both returned HTTP 403, so we did not read them.
