# A visa desk for UAE residents — the numbers the portals leave out

Three questions decide which page you need. Are you bringing a parent, spouse or friend into the UAE? Are you leaving on your own passport for Schengen, the UK, the US, Canada or Australia? Or are you checking where your Emirates ID alone lets you land visa-free? Pick one route below. Each carries dated AED fees and real timelines the official portals leave out.

## What this site is (and what it is not)

This is a Dubai-based visa information desk, not a government portal and not a travel agency. It is a new, independent brand, not affiliated with ICP or GDRFA, nor with MOFA, u.ae or any Amer centre. It publishes AED prices, dated timelines and per-passport eligibility — the numbers those portals leave out. This visa information site files nothing for you.

Three registers answer different halves of the same trip.

| Where you look | What it gives you | What it leaves out |
|---|---|---|
| Government portals (u.ae, ICP, GDRFA) | Who is eligible and what the rule says | The AED total, the timeline, the fix after a refusal |
| Visit-visa agencies and Amer centres | An all-in price and an application form | The official fee underneath it, its source, its date |
| This desk, a Dubai-based publisher | Both figures side by side, each dated and sourced | Any service of our own — we process nothing |

We run no representation service, and we promise no approval. There is no order form here, no price of our own and no refund guarantee. This market reads those promises as a scam signal, and it is right to. Instead of "processing times vary", our guides give the format residents trust — biometrics 2 July, approved 8 July.

## Start here: three questions that route you

The three-question router below sends you to one route, and your passport plus your Emirates ID decide which. Inbound visas run through ICP, GDRFA and Amer centres. Outbound visas run through VFS Global, TLScontact or BLS in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Visa-free travel on a UAE residence depends on your residency validity, not on your ticket.

| Your situation | Where it runs | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| Bringing a parent, spouse or friend into the UAE | ICP / GDRFA / Amer centre · AED fee · sponsor and relationship proof | [/uae-visa/](/uae-visa/) |
| Leaving on your own passport (Schengen, UK, US, Canada, Australia) | VFS Global / TLScontact / BLS · Dubai or Abu Dhabi · dated appointment | [/from-uae/](/from-uae/) |
| Checking where your residency alone lets you land | Passport × residency validity · airline rule vs immigration rule | [/visa-free/](/visa-free/) |

Every cost across all three routes sits on one page, [/uae-visa/fees/](/uae-visa/fees/) — no other page restates it. Write your case the way the forums do — Pakistani passport, UAE resident since 2004, salary, bank, travel history — and the right route is usually clear from the first line.

## How we check every number on this site

Every figure here carries its own check date, not a page-level one. When ICP, GDRFA and an [Amer centre](/uae-visa/parents-visit-visa/) state different numbers, we print all of them, dated, and name who says what. We never average them. GDRFA's total government charge for a 30-day tourist visa was AED 272 on 20 July 2026. A GDRFA-partner Amer centre published AED 650 for the same trip — about 2.4× as much. Both figures are sourced and dated in full on [the fees page](/uae-visa/fees/).

That AED 378 gap is a finding, so we show it, not smooth it away. Where we opened the source card ourselves, we link it. Where we took a figure from a source's published text, we say so and name it by title. A contradiction between two official channels is the story, not a footnote — and an absence is a finding too. This is how we verify every number.

One warning carries across every outbound guide. Consulates now flag recognizably AI-generated cover letters and itineraries, and a machine-written [Attestation d'Accueil](/visa-refused/schengen-ground-13/) reads as one on sight. Our document sections steer you off that draft, not toward it. Our sourcing rules and public correction log sit at [/editorial-policy/](/editorial-policy/).

## Who writes this

The editorial desk writes and maintains every page, and the byline is the desk, not an invented expert. This is a new brand with no track record yet.

Naming a human author with credentials we cannot verify is exactly the fake authority this market scans for. A brand this young earns trust by sourcing every figure and dating it, not by inventing an expert. Named reviewers are open debt — dated and disclosed, never fiction.

The brand's operating entity is being registered in the UAE. Until the trade licence number issues, we publish none — we will not show a licence we do not hold. When it issues, the number will appear here and on [/about/](/about/) as plain text. So will its issuing authority (mainland DED or a free-zone authority), the VAT registration and the registered Dubai office address — each shown with its date. Checked 20 July 2026.

Found a figure out of date, or a receipt that contradicts ours? Write to us at [/contact/](/contact/). We re-check the source and publish a dated correction. Definitions of *entry permit*, *Amer centre* and *grace period* sit in the [glossary](/glossary/).

We are not affiliated with the UAE Government, u.ae, ICP, GDRFA, MOFA or any Amer centre. We quote no price of our own and we process no applications. Figures on this site are published government and third-party figures, each reproduced with its source and the date we checked it.
